Tuscany is the region of the Italian Renaissance: Michelangelo's David, the Uffizi museum, Botticelli's Venus. In Tuscany, culture is art. It is home to some of the world's most prized architecture: Santa Maria Novella in Florence, the leaning tower of Pisa, the walls of Lucca, the massive Piazza in Siena (home to the Palio). The Tuscan countryside, covered in vineyards and olive groves, where Montepulciano and Chianti wines are made. Then there is the Tuscan food: ribollita, pici, fiorentina steak, lampredotto, panzanella, lardo di Carrara, finocchiona, and cantucci and Vinsanto.
