Piemonte

The birth place of the Slow Food movement, Piemonte! The region known for innovation; with Torino boasting the invention of Fiat automobile and Vermouth fortified wine. Piemonte is famous for its cultural institutions, it's home of the University of Gastronomic Sciences, the Museo Egizio, and many Savoy family castles. And then, all those quintessential Italian dishes: bagna cauda, risotto with Castelmagno cheese, vitello tonnato, agnolotti del plin, tajarin al burro con tartufo, panna cotta. And ingredients: Alba white truffles, Piedmont hazelnuts, Fassona piemontese. And the Langhe wines: Barolo, Barbera, and Nebbiolo.
