Coppadoro is Famiglia Ciccolella’s strong, beautiful expression of Puglia’s most iconic olive: 100% Coratina. Powerful, peppery, and full of life, Coppadoro reminds us why Coratina is the queen of bold Italian olive varieties. It’s pure Puglia in a bottle, honest, radiant, and full of heart. Pressed within two hours of harvest in the family’s state-of-the-art mill just north of Bari, this oil bursts with aromas of green olive, artichoke, and almond, capturing the essence of the Mediterranean sun and the deep roots of Pugliese tradition.
Not for the faint of heart, Coppadoro is intense, green, potent, a pure Coratina monovarietal extra virgin olive oil with exceptionally high polyphenols. On the nose, notes of freshly cut grass, green olive, and borage awaken the senses. On the palate, vibrant artichoke and almond flavors balance a clean bitterness and a long, peppery finish.

Giuseppe and Francesca Ciccolella are the husband-and-wife team behind this extraordinary oil. Their family has farmed the land near Bari, Puglia, since 1878. Today, they care for 8,000 olive trees with a deep respect for the earth, following organic and sustainable practices. The Ciccolella groves lie just five kilometers from the Adriatic Sea, where the salty breeze and limestone soil give Coppadoro its distinctive minerality and the vibrant character of true Pugliese olive oil.

Every drop is crafted with care, precision, and respect for the land. In 2020, Giuseppe and Francesca built their own Frantoio Ciccolella, equipped with cutting-edge technology developed by their friend Mori, one of Italy’s top olive mill engineers. Each stage of production is temperature-controlled, the oil is filtered immediately, stored under nitrogen, and bottled only on demand to preserve freshness.

Perfect for drizzling over bruschetta, earthy legume soups, chared vegetables, or even steak: anywhere you want an assertive, authentic taste of southern Italy.
